Founder
Dr. Barrie earned his Bachelor of Science from the University at Albany, SUNY, before completing his MD/PhD at UT Southwestern. He is currently a PGY-1 in Neurosurgery at NYU Langone Health.

Sri earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Tulsa and is currently a fourth-year medical student at UT Southwestern Medical School.

Sean O'Leary
Vice President - Pediatrics, Membership Committee, & Spine Section Co-Chair
Sean earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Arts in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently an MD candidate at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

Abigail graduated from Vassar College in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience & Behavior and Mathematics. She is currently a medical student at UT Southwestern.

Kwadwo Darko
Vice President - Vascular, Stats, & Pediatrics Co-Chair
Kwadwo is a medical graduate and house officer at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, Ghana. He completed his undergraduate and medical training at the University of Ghana, Legon. His research focuses on improving patient safety in neurosurgery through outcome studies and best practice adoption, as well as exploring opportunities in global neurosurgery.

Milan graduated from UT Austin in 2023 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and is currently pursuing his medical degree at UT Southwestern.

Usama AlDallal
Cerebrovascular, Epilepsy, Peripheral Nerve & Functional Co-Chair
Usama is a junior academic doctor and researcher at the National Health Service in Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. He is working on research projects related to functional and trauma neurosurgery. He earned his MB BCh BAO with honors from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), where he was the past president of IFMSA-BH and the RCSI Student Council.

Ammar is a junior doctor in Lahore, Pakistan. He earned his medical degree from C.M.H. Lahore Medical College and Institute of Dentistry.

Takara Newsome-Cuby is a fourth-year medical student at Kansas City University, with an anticipated graduation in 2025. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Spanish from St. John Fisher University in 2016. In 2019, she completed a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences at Kansas City University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, before continuing her medical education there.

Mazin Khalil

Mazin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Trinity College in 2015 while following the pre-med track. He later obtained a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Law with a concentration in Health Policy from Trinity College in 2018, followed by a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics with a focus on Infectious Diseases from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 2020. He is currently an MD student at St. George's University, with an anticipated graduation in 2027.
